Intelligent World Green Development 2030

#artificialintelligence

Environmental impacts are far reaching, the effects of climate change devastating, and organizations are striving to shape their business in a way that is environmentally sustainable and equipped to thrive in the future. Ronald van Loon is a Huawei partner, and discussed green solutions at Huawei's Global Analyst Summit in Shenzhen China, where Huawei highlighted the importance of building a green intelligent world for 2030. The intelligent world in 2030 will emphasize low carbon living, virtual tourism and classrooms, buildings that consume lower energy, electric and intelligent vehicles, virtual factories, better ways for businesses and people to collaborate in real-time, and more renewable energy solutions will go mainstream. Huawei released a report called "Green Development 2030" that focuses on how green development will change people's lives and industries. According to Huawei, "by 2030, we expect 80% of energy to come from renewable sources and energy efficiency to increase 100 times."

Despite challenges, Artificial Intelligence is our future

#artificialintelligence

Markets are getting thirsty for advanced technology as digital transformation is simply inevitable. Despite its fast growth, artificial intelligence has yet to see any explosion in demand seen mild and gradual increase in demand. With challenges ahead, Huawei is ready to bring its top-notched Atlas AI computing solutions to enterprises in response to such force. The tech giant can also play to achieve the long-term goal across different sectors.

How We're Helping to Bridge the ICT Talent Gap

#artificialintelligence

They say that a society thrives only when older generations plant the seeds of trees whose shade they may never enjoy. Through university partnerships and outreach, 4,725 students from 108 nations had completed the program as of year-end 2018. In this post, I talk about why we run the Seeds for the Future program. The current acute shortage of tech talent, especially data scientists and AI experts, is exacerbated by the barriers that prevent many women from fully contributing to the global economy. Together, they are dual bottlenecks hindering ICT development.

Huawei new AI chips and AI strategy

#artificialintelligence

Huawei has announced two new chips for artificial intelligence applications. The Ascend AI IP and chip series, the world's first AI IP and chip series that natively serves all scenarios, providing optimal TeraOPS per watt. The Ascend series delivers excellent performance per watt in every scenario, whether it's minimum energy consumption or maximum computing power in data centers. Their unified architecture also makes it easy to deploy, migrate, and interconnect AI applications across different scenarios. The Ascend 910 and Ascend 310 chips, which were announced at today's event, mark Huawei's leading AI capabilities at the chip level โ€“ the bottom layer of the stack.

The Future of Business for an Intelligent World

#artificialintelligence

The intelligent world is truly upon us, and based on the technological advancements that we are becoming used to, one cannot wait for the future to arrive. In this intelligent world, there is pressure on businesses to deliver an exceptional customer experience, and to use every technology they can to ensure that the customers get what they expect. I recently had the opportunity to attend the SAP Ariba Live event in Amsterdam. The event is one of the biggest supply chain and procurement conferences held across the globe. At the conference, I had the opportunity to hear and witness excellent use cases, and speak to the president of SAP Ariba, Barry Padgett.

When Technology Black Swan Huawei Blueprints Future Vision, people listen

#artificialintelligence

Black swans are the ultimate outliers. They have the ability to surprise and disrupt the status quo. I was recently in Shenzhen and was permitted access to Huawei's campus. I know I didn't see it all, but I saw enough to get me thinking. I had heard lots of stories, but reality was even more interesting. Seeing and talking to the people gave me new insights. I'd heard that in China, tech employees worked 10 hours straight a day. The offices, campus and the university (yes, a University where all employees study) are perhaps even more modern and inviting than many I've seen in the United States.

AI In Telecom: Intelligent Operations is the New Norm

@machinelearnbot

The move towards an intelligent world is faster and more rapid than it ever was before. The increase in this transition has been propagated through the role of several high key stakeholders that have redefined the way we look at technology. One of the key players in this transition is Huawei. Huawei's recent UBBF conference held in Hangzhou on October 18-19 was a step towards awareness in this regard. Being personally present at this conference, there were numerous intakes that I noted down and would like to present to my readers.
